The Bronze Altar and Molten Sea
And he made an altar of bronze: twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its width, and ten cubits its height.
And he made the sea, cast: ten cubits from brim to brim, circular all around, and five cubits its height; and a line of thirty cubits would circle it all around.
And the likeness of oxen was under it, all around, encircling it — ten to the cubit, surrounding the sea all around, two rows of oxen, cast in its casting.
It stood on twelve oxen: three facing north, and three facing west, and three facing south, and three facing east; and the sea was on them, above, and all their hindquarters were inward.
And its thickness was a handbreadth, and its brim like the work of the brim of a cup, a lily blossom; holding baths — three thousand it contained.
The Ten Basins, Lampstands, and Tables
And he made ten basins, and set five on the right and five on the left, for washing in them; what belonged to the burnt offering they would rinse in them. And the sea was for the priests, to wash in.
And he made the lampstands of gold, ten, according to their custom; and he set them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.
And he made ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. And he made a hundred basins of gold.
The Courts
And he made the court of the priests, and the great enclosure, and doors for the enclosure; and their doors he overlaid with bronze.
And the sea he set at the right side, eastward, opposite the south.
Completion of the Bronze Works
And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Huram finished doing the work that he did for King Solomon in the house of God:
two pillars, and the bowls and the capitals on the head of the two pillars; and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the head of the pillars;
and the four hundred pomegranates for the two latticeworks — two rows of pomegranates for each latticework — to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the face of the pillars.
And he made the stands, and the basins he made on the stands;
the one sea, and the twelve oxen under it.
And the pots, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their vessels, Huram-abi made for King Solomon, for the house of the LORD — of polished bronze.
In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the thick clay ground, between Succoth and Zeredah.
And Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance — for the weight of the bronze could not be searched out.
Completion of the Gold Furnishings
And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God: and the altar of gold, and the tables with the bread of the Presence on them;
and the lampstands and their lamps, of solid gold, to burn according to the custom before the inner sanctuary;
and the blossoms, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold — it was the perfection of gold;
and the snuffers, and the basins, and the dishes, and the firepans, of solid gold. And the entrance of the house — its inner doors to the holy of holies, and the doors of the house, of the temple — were of gold.
