Ezekiel46

The Prince’s Offerings

Thus says the Lord GOD: The gate of the inner court that faces east will be shut the six days of work; and on the day of the sabbath it will be opened, and on the day of the new moon it will be opened.

And the leader will come by way of the porch of the gate from outside and stand by the doorpost of the gate; and the priests will make his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he will bow down at the threshold of the gate and go out. And the gate will not be shut until the evening.

And the people of the land will bow down at the opening of that gate on the sabbaths and at the new moons, before the LORD.

And the burnt offering that the leader brings near to the LORD on the day of the sabbath: six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish.

And a grain offering, an ephah for the ram; and for the lambs a grain offering, the gift of his hand; and oil, a hin to the ephah.

And on the day of the new moon, a bull, a son of the herd, without blemish; and six lambs and a ram — they are to be without blemish.

And an ephah for the bull and an ephah for the ram he will make as a grain offering; and for the lambs, as his hand reaches; and oil, a hin to the ephah.

And when the leader comes in, by way of the porch of the gate he will come in, and by its way he will go out.

And when the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed times, the one coming by way of the north gate to bow down will go out by way of the south gate; and the one coming by way of the south gate will go out by way of the north gate. He will not go back by way of the gate he came in by, but will go out straight ahead of it.

And the leader in their midst: when they come in he will come in, and when they go out they will go out.

And at the festivals and at the appointed times the grain offering will be an ephah for the bull and an ephah for the ram, and for the lambs the gift of his hand; and oil, a hin to the ephah.

And when the leader makes a freewill offering — a burnt offering or peace offerings as a freewill offering to the LORD — the gate that faces east will be opened for him, and he will make his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the day of the sabbath; and he will go out, and the gate will be shut after his going out.

And a lamb, a son of its year, without blemish, you will make as a burnt offering each day to the LORD; morning by morning you will make it.

And a grain offering you will make with it morning by morning: a sixth of the ephah, and oil, a third of the hin, to moisten the fine flour — a grain offering to the LORD, everlasting statutes, continually.

They will make the lamb and the grain offering and the oil morning by morning: a continual burnt offering.

Thus says the Lord GOD: If the leader gives a gift to a man of his sons, it is his inheritance; it will belong to his sons; it is their holding by inheritance.

But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it will be his until the year of release, and then it returns to the leader. Only his inheritance — his sons, it will be theirs.

And the leader will not take from the inheritance of the people, wronging them out of their holding. From his own holding he will give his sons an inheritance, so that my people are not scattered, each from his holding.

The Courts for Boiling and Baking

And he brought me by the entryway that was at the shoulder of the gate, to the holy chambers for the priests, facing north; and see, there was a place there at the far parts, westward.

And he said to me: This is the place where the priests boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, where they bake the grain offering, so as not to bring them out to the outer court, to sanctify the people.

And he brought me out to the outer court and made me pass by the four angles of the court; and see: a court at each angle of the court, a court at each angle of the court.

At the four angles of the court were enclosed courts, forty in length and thirty in breadth; one measure for the four of them, set in the angles.

And a row all around in them, all around the four of them; and boiling places were made beneath the rows all around.

And he said to me: These are the house of those who boil, where the servants of the house boil the sacrifice of the people.
