The Slaughter of Gog’s Armies
And you, son of man, prophesy over Gog and say: Thus says the Lord GOD: See, I am against you, Gog, chief leader of Meshech and Tubal.
And I will turn you back and lead you on and bring you up from the far parts of the north, and I will bring you against the mountains of Israel.
And I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand.
On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you. To the bird of prey, to every winged bird, and to the beast of the field I have given you as food.
On the face of the field you will fall, for I myself have spoken, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
And I will send fire against Magog and against those dwelling in the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD.
And my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will not let my holy name be profaned again; and the nations will know that I am the LORD, holy in Israel.
See, it is coming and it will be done, the utterance of the Lord GOD. That is the day of which I have spoken.
And those dwelling in the cities of Israel will go out and burn and kindle with the weapons — shield and buckler, bow and arrows, hand staff and spear — and they will burn fire with them for seven years.
And they will not carry wood from the field or cut it from the forests, for with the weapons they will burn fire; and they will spoil those who spoiled them and plunder those who plundered them, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
And it will be on that day that I will give Gog a place there for a grave in Israel — the Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea; and it will stop the travelers. And there they will bury Gog and all his multitude, and they will call it the Valley of the Multitude of Gog.
And the house of Israel will bury them for seven months, so as to cleanse the land.
And all the people of the land will bury; and it will be for them a renown on the day of my being glorified, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
And they will separate out men of continual service, passing through the land, burying with the travelers those left on the face of the land, to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will search.
And the travelers will pass through the land, and when one sees a bone of a man he will build a marker beside it, until the buriers have buried it in the Valley of the Multitude of Gog.
And also the name of a city will be Multitude. And they will cleanse the land.
And you, son of man — thus says the Lord GOD: Say to every winged bird and to every beast of the field: Be gathered and come; be assembled from every side to my sacrifice, which I am sacrificing for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel; and you will eat flesh and drink blood.
The flesh of the mighty you will eat, and the blood of the leaders of the earth you will drink — rams, lambs and he-goats, bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
And you will eat fat to fullness and drink blood to drunkenness, from my sacrifice that I have sacrificed for you.
And you will be full at my table with horse and chariot, mighty man and every man of war, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
Israel to Be Restored
And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see my judgment that I have done and my hand that I have laid on them.
And the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God, from that day and onward.
And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their iniquity, because they were unfaithful to me; and I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their foes, and all of them fell by the sword.
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I did to them, and I hid my face from them.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have compassion on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name.
And they will bear their humiliation and all their unfaithfulness by which they were unfaithful to me, when they dwell on their own land in safety with none making them afraid.
When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, I will be sanctified in them before the eyes of many nations.
And they will know that I am the LORD their God, when I send them into exile among the nations and then collect them onto their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer.
And I will no longer hide my face from them, because I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
