Psalms6

To the choirmaster, with stringed instruments, upon the sheminith. A psalm of David. LORD, do not reprove me in your anger, and do not discipline me in your wrath.

Do Not Rebuke Me in Your Anger

Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am withered; heal me, LORD, for my bones are dismayed.

And my soul is very much dismayed. And you, LORD — how long?

Turn back, LORD; rescue my soul; save me for the sake of your loyal love.

For in death there is no remembering you; in Sheol, who gives you thanks?

I am weary with my groaning; all night I flood my bed; I dissolve my couch with my tears.

My eye wastes away from vexation; it has grown old because of all my adversaries.

Turn away from me, all workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.

The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD takes my prayer.

All my enemies will be ashamed and very much dismayed; they will turn back, they will be ashamed in a moment.
