The Lantern

Psalms4

To the choirmaster, with stringed instruments. A psalm of David. When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness. In distress you made room for me; be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.

Answer Me When I Call!

Sons of man, how long will my glory be for shame? How long will you love emptiness, and seek a lie? Selah.

And know that the LORD has set apart the one who is loyal to him; the LORD hears when I call to him.

Tremble, and do not sin. Say it in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the LORD.

Many are saying, “Who will show us good?” Lift up the light of your face upon us, LORD.

You have given gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their grain and their new wine abound.

In peace, all at once, I will lie down and sleep — for you, LORD, alone make me dwell in safety.
