The Lantern

Psalms12

To the choirmaster. Upon the sheminith. A psalm of David. Save, LORD, for the loyal man is finished; for the faithful have vanished from among the sons of man.

The Godly Are No More

They speak emptiness, each with his neighbor; with a smooth lip, with a heart and a heart they speak.

May the LORD cut off all smooth lips, the tongue that speaks great things —

those who have said, “By our tongue we will prevail; our lips are with us — who is lord over us?”

“From the ruin of the afflicted, from the groaning of the needy, now I will rise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety he pants for.”

The sayings of the LORD are pure sayings, silver refined in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

You, LORD, will keep them; you will guard him from this generation forever.

On every side the wicked walk about, when vileness is exalted among the sons of man.
