The Lantern

Psalms11

To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I have taken refuge; how can you say to my soul, “Flee to your mountain, you bird”?

In the LORD I Take Refuge

For see — the wicked bend a bow; they have set their arrow on the string, to shoot in the darkness at the upright of heart.

When the foundations are torn down, what has the righteous one done?

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD — his throne is in the heavens. His eyes behold; his eyelids test the sons of man.

The LORD tests the righteous, but the wicked and the lover of violence his soul has hated.

He will rain snares upon the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind are the portion of their cup.

For the LORD is righteous; he has loved righteous deeds. The upright will behold his face.
