The Lantern

Psalms108

A song. A psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, God; I will sing and make music — also my glory.

Israel’s Kingdom Blessing

Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn.

I will give you thanks among the peoples, LORD; I will make music to you among the nations.

For your loyal love is great above the heavens, and your faithfulness to the skies.

Be exalted above the heavens, God; and let your glory be over all the earth.

So that your beloved ones may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.

God has spoken in his holiness: “I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and the Valley of Succoth I will measure out.

Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the stronghold of my head; Judah is my scepter.

Moab is my washbasin; on Edom I will throw my sandal; over Philistia I will shout in triumph.”

Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom?

Have you not, God, rejected us? And you do not go out, God, with our armies.

Give us help from the foe, for the salvation of mankind is empty.

Through God we will do valiantly, and he himself will trample our foes.
