Leviticus7

The Guilt Offering

And this is the instruction of the guilt offering; it is a holy of holies.

In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering they shall slaughter the guilt offering, and its blood he shall throw against the altar all around.

And all its fat he shall bring near from it: the fat tail, and the fat that covers the inner parts,

and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the lobe on the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys.

And the priest shall turn them into smoke on the altar, a fire offering to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.

Every male among the priests may eat it; in a holy place it shall be eaten. It is a holy of holies.

As with the sin offering, so with the guilt offering — one instruction for them: it shall belong to the priest who makes atonement with it.

And the priest who brings near a man’s burnt offering — the skin of the burnt offering he has brought near shall belong to that priest.

And every grain offering baked in the oven, and everything prepared in the pan or on the griddle, shall belong to the priest who brings it near.

And every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, one as much as another.

The Peace Offering

And this is the instruction of the sacrifice of peace offerings that one brings near to the LORD.

If he brings it near for thanksgiving, then he shall bring near, with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes of well-mixed fine flour, mixed with oil.

With cakes of leavened bread he shall bring near his offering, with his sacrifice of thanksgiving peace offerings.

And from it he shall bring near one of each offering as a contribution to the LORD; it shall belong to the priest who throws the blood of the peace offerings.

And the flesh of his sacrifice of thanksgiving peace offerings shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it until morning.

But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a freewill offering, on the day he brings near his sacrifice it shall be eaten — and on the next day what remains of it may be eaten.

And what remains of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.

If any of the flesh of his sacrifice of peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, it will not be accepted; it will not be counted to the one who brought it near — it shall be foul meat, and the soul who eats of it shall bear her iniquity.

And the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. As for other flesh — everyone who is clean may eat flesh.

But the soul who eats flesh from the sacrifice of peace offerings that belongs to the LORD while his uncleanness is on him — that soul shall be cut off from her people.

And when a soul touches anything unclean — human uncleanness, or an unclean beast, or any unclean detestable thing — and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belongs to the LORD, that soul shall be cut off from her people.”

Fat and Blood Forbidden

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to the sons of Israel: You shall eat no fat of ox or lamb or goat.

And the fat of an animal that dies of itself, and the fat of one torn by beasts, may be used for any work — but you shall surely not eat it.

For whoever eats the fat of the beast from which a fire offering is brought near to the LORD — the soul who eats shall be cut off from her people.

And you shall eat no blood, in any of your dwellings, whether of bird or of beast.

Every soul who eats any blood — that soul shall be cut off from her people.”

The Priests’ Portion

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to the sons of Israel: Whoever brings near his sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD shall bring his offering to the LORD from his sacrifice of peace offerings.

His own hands shall bring the fire offerings of the LORD: the fat with the breast he shall bring, the breast to wave it as a wave offering before the LORD.

And the priest shall turn the fat into smoke on the altar, but the breast shall belong to Aaron and to his sons.

And the right thigh you shall give as a contribution to the priest, from your sacrifices of peace offerings.

The one among the sons of Aaron who brings near the blood of the peace offerings and the fat — the right thigh shall be his portion.

For the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution I have taken from the sons of Israel, from their sacrifices of peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons, as a portion forever from the sons of Israel.”

This is the anointed portion of Aaron and the anointed portion of his sons from the fire offerings of the LORD, from the day he brought them near to serve the LORD as priests —

which the LORD commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel, on the day he anointed them: a statute forever throughout their generations.

This is the instruction for the burnt offering, for the grain offering, and for the sin offering, and for the guilt offering, and for the ordination offering, and for the sacrifice of peace offerings,

which the LORD commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day he commanded the sons of Israel to bring near their offerings to the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.
