The Uncleanness of Men
And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
“Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them: When any man has a discharge from his flesh, his discharge is unclean.
And this shall be his uncleanness in his discharge: whether his flesh runs with his discharge, or his flesh is stopped up by his discharge, it is his uncleanness.
Every bed on which the one with the discharge lies shall be unclean, and every article on which he sits shall be unclean.
And a man who touches his bed shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And whoever sits on an article on which the one with the discharge has sat shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And whoever touches the flesh of the one with the discharge shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And when the one with the discharge spits on someone clean, that one shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And every saddle on which the one with the discharge rides shall be unclean.
And whoever touches anything that was under him shall be unclean until the evening; and whoever carries such things shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And everyone whom the one with the discharge touches without having rinsed his hands in water shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And an earthen vessel that the one with the discharge touches shall be broken; and every wooden vessel shall be rinsed in water.
The Cleansing of Men
And when the one with the discharge is cleansed of his discharge, he shall count for himself seven days for his cleansing; and he shall wash his garments and bathe his flesh in living water — and he shall be clean.
And on the eighth day he shall take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest.
And the priest shall offer them, the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD, because of his discharge.
And when the emission of seed goes out from a man, he shall bathe all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And every garment and every skin on which there is an emission of seed shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the evening.
And a woman with whom a man lies with an emission of seed — they shall bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
The Uncleanness of Women
And when a woman has a discharge — her discharge in her flesh being blood — she shall be in her impurity seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.
And everything she lies on in her impurity shall be unclean, and everything she sits on shall be unclean.
And whoever touches her bed shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And whoever touches any article on which she sits shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
And whether it is on the bed or on the article on which she is sitting — when he touches it, he shall be unclean until the evening.
And if a man surely lies with her, so that her impurity comes on him, he shall be unclean seven days; and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean.
And when a woman’s discharge of blood flows many days outside the time of her impurity, or when it flows beyond her impurity — all the days of her unclean discharge she shall be as in the days of her impurity; she is unclean.
Every bed on which she lies, all the days of her discharge, shall be to her like the bed of her impurity; and every article on which she sits shall be unclean, like the uncleanness of her impurity.
And whoever touches them shall be unclean; and he shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
The Cleansing of Women
And if she is cleansed of her discharge, she shall count for herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall offer the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her before the LORD, because of the discharge of her uncleanness.
And you shall keep the sons of Israel separate from their uncleanness, so that they do not die in their uncleanness by making my Dwelling that is in their midst unclean.
This is the instruction for the one with a discharge, and for the one from whom an emission of seed goes out, making him unclean by it,
and for the woman sick in her impurity — for anyone with a discharge, male or female, and for a man who lies with an unclean woman.”
