II Chronicles27

Jotham Reigns in Judah

Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.

And he did the upright in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Uzziah his father had done — only, he did not come into the temple of the LORD. But the people were still acting corruptly.

He built the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD; and on the wall of the Ophel he built much.

And he built cities in the hill country of Judah; and in the wooded places he built fortresses and towers.

And he fought with the king of the sons of Ammon and prevailed over them; and the sons of Ammon gave him in that year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. This the sons of Ammon rendered him, also in the second year and the third.

And Jotham held strong — for he set his ways firm before the LORD his God.

And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways — look, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

And Jotham lay down with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
