The Portions for the Tribes
And these are the names of the tribes. From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the coming to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, beside Hamath — and his sides will be east and west: Dan, one.
And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side: Asher, one.
And by the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side: Naphtali, one.
And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side: Manasseh, one.
And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side: Ephraim, one.
And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side: Reuben, one.
And by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side: Judah, one.
The Portions for the Priests and Levites
And by the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, will be the contribution that you lift: twenty-five thousand in breadth, and in length like one of the portions from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary will be in its midst.
The contribution that you lift to the LORD: twenty-five thousand in length and ten thousand in breadth.
And for these will be the contribution of the holy portion, for the priests: northward twenty-five thousand, and westward a breadth of ten thousand, and eastward a breadth of ten thousand, and southward a length of twenty-five thousand; and the sanctuary of the LORD will be in its midst.
For the priests who are sanctified, of the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, who did not go astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
And it will be for them a contribution portion from the contribution of the land, a Holy of Holies, by the border of the Levites.
And the Levites, alongside the border of the priests: twenty-five thousand in length and ten thousand in breadth; the whole length twenty-five thousand and the breadth ten thousand.
And they will not sell of it, and it will not be exchanged, and the first of the land will not be transferred, for it is holy to the LORD.
The Common Portion
And the five thousand left over in the breadth, before the twenty-five thousand, is common land for the city, for dwelling and for pasture; and the city will be in its midst.
And these are its measures: the north side, four thousand five hundred; and the south side, four thousand five hundred; and on the east side, four thousand five hundred; and the west side, four thousand five hundred.
And there will be pasture for the city: northward two hundred and fifty, and southward two hundred and fifty, and eastward two hundred and fifty, and westward two hundred and fifty.
And what is left over in the length, alongside the contribution of the holy portion: ten thousand eastward and ten thousand westward; and it will be alongside the contribution of the holy portion, and its yield will be for bread for those who serve the city.
And those who serve the city will serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.
The whole contribution: twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand. As a fourth you will lift the contribution of the holy portion, along with the holding of the city.
The Portion for the Prince
And what is left over will be for the leader, on this side and on that of the contribution of the holy portion and of the holding of the city — before the twenty-five thousand of the contribution as far as the east border, and westward before the twenty-five thousand at the west border, alongside the portions, for the leader. And the contribution of the holy portion and the sanctuary of the house will be in its midst.
And from the holding of the Levites and from the holding of the city, in the midst of what is the leader’s: between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin it will be for the leader.
The Portions for the Remaining Tribes
And the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side: Benjamin, one.
And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side: Simeon, one.
And by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side: Issachar, one.
And by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side: Zebulun, one.
And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side: Gad, one.
And by the border of Gad, at the Negev side toward Teman: and the border will be from Tamar, the waters of Meribath-kadesh, the stream, to the Great Sea.
This is the land that you will make fall as an inheritance for the tribes of Israel, and these are their divisions, the utterance of the Lord GOD.
The City Gates and Dimensions
And these are the goings out of the city. On the north side, four thousand five hundred by measure.
And the gates of the city are by the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward — the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.
And at the east side, four thousand five hundred, and three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.
And the side toward the Negev, four thousand five hundred by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.
The west side, four thousand five hundred, their gates three: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.
All around, eighteen thousand. And the name of the city from that day: THE LORD IS THERE.
