And I looked, and see: toward the expanse that was over the head of the cherubim, like a sapphire stone, like the appearance of the likeness of a throne, seen above them.
And he said to the man clothed in linen — he said: Come in between the whirling wheels, under the cherub, and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and throw them over the city. And he came in before my eyes.
And the cherubim were standing to the right of the house when the man came in, and the cloud filled the inner court.
And the glory of the LORD rose from over the cherub to the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the LORD.
And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the sound of God Almighty when he speaks.
And it was, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying: Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim — that he came and stood beside the wheel.
And the cherub sent out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and lifted and gave it into the hands of the one clothed in linen; and he took it and went out.
And there appeared on the cherubim the form of a human hand under their wings.
And I looked, and see: four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub and one wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of beryl stone.
And their appearance: the four of them had one likeness, as if a wheel were within a wheel.
As they went, they went on their four sides; they did not turn as they went, but to the place the head faced, they went after it; they did not turn as they went.
And all their flesh and their backs and their hands and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes all around — the wheels of the four of them.
To the wheels — to them it was called out in my ears: Whirling wheel!
And each had four faces: the face of the first was the face of a cherub, and the face of the second the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
And the cherubim rose. This is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.
And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise from the earth, the wheels too did not turn from beside them.
When they stood, these stood; and when they rose, these rose with them; for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
And the glory of the LORD went out from over the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim.
And the cherubim lifted their wings and rose from the earth before my eyes as they went out, and the wheels alongside them. And it stood at the opening of the eastern gate of the house of the LORD, and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
This is the living creature that I saw beneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.
Each had four faces, four, and each four wings; and the likeness of human hands was under their wings.
And the likeness of their faces — they were the faces I had seen by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves. Each went straight ahead.
