Ask from the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain — the LORD who makes thunderbolts; and he will give them showers of rain, to each man grass in the field.
For the teraphim have spoken iniquity, and the diviners have seen falsehood, and dreams of emptiness they speak; with breath they comfort. Therefore they have set out like a flock; they are afflicted, for there is no shepherd.

From him the corner, from him the peg, from him the battle bow, from him every oppressor together.

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and the house of Joseph I will save; and I will bring them back to settle them, for I have had compassion on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.
And Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will be glad as with wine; and their sons will see and be glad; their heart will rejoice in the LORD.
I will whistle for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they increased.
And I will sow them among the peoples, and in the far places they will remember me; and they will live with their sons and return.
And I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, and from Assyria I will gather them; and to the land of Gilead and Lebanon I will bring them, and it will not be found enough for them.
And he will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
And I will strengthen them in the LORD, and in his name they will walk about — the utterance of the LORD.
