A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to make music to your name, Most High;
How Great Are Your Works!
to declare your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness in the nights,
on a ten-stringed instrument and on a harp, with the murmur of the lyre.
For you have gladdened me, LORD, by your work; at the deeds of your hands I sing aloud.
How great are your works, LORD! Your thoughts are very deep.
A brutish man does not know, and a fool does not understand this:
when the wicked sprout like grass, and all the workers of iniquity blossom, it is that they may be destroyed forever and ever.
But you are on high forever, LORD.
For see — your enemies, LORD, for see — your enemies will perish; all the workers of iniquity will be scattered.
But you have lifted up my horn like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.
And my eye has looked on those who watch me; my ears hear of the evildoers who rise against me.
The righteous will sprout like a palm tree; like a cedar in Lebanon he will grow tall.
Planted in the house of the LORD, they will blossom in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age; they will be full of sap and green,
to declare that the LORD is upright — my rock, and there is no injustice in him.
