A song. A psalm. Of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD and greatly praised in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
Broken Bondage
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth, is Mount Zion, the far reaches of the north, the city of a great king.
God in her citadels has made himself known as a high tower.
For see — the kings assembled; together they passed by.
They themselves saw — so they were astounded; they were terrified, they fled in haste.
Trembling seized them there, writhing like a woman giving birth.
With an east wind you shatter the ships of Tarshish.
As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish her forever. Selah.
We have considered your loyal love, God, in the midst of your temple.
Like your name, God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.
Let Mount Zion be glad; let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments.
Go around Zion and encircle her; count her towers.
Set your heart on her rampart; pass between her citadels, so that you may recount it to the generation to come.
For this God is our God forever and ever; he will guide us beyond death.
