The Lantern

Psalms34

Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him out, and he went. I will bless the LORD at every time; continually his praise will be in my mouth.

Taste and See That the LORD Is Good

In the LORD my soul will boast; let the humble hear and be glad.

Magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the LORD and he answered me, and from all my terrors he rescued me.

They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces will not be ashamed.

This afflicted man called, and the LORD heard, and from all his distresses he saved him.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; happy is the man who takes refuge in him.

Fear the LORD, you his holy ones, for there is no lack for those who fear him.

Young lions have gone poor and hungry, but those who seek the LORD will not lack any good.

Come, sons, listen to me; the fear of the LORD I will teach you.

Who is the man who delights in life, who loves days to see good?

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry for help.

The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.

They cried out, and the LORD heard, and from all their distresses he rescued them.

The LORD is near to the broken of heart, and he saves those crushed in spirit.

Many are the evils of the righteous, but from all of them the LORD rescues him.

He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

Evil will put the wicked to death, and those who hate the righteous will be held guilty.

The LORD ransoms the soul of his servants, and none who take refuge in him will be held guilty.
