Job26

Job: Who Can Understand God’s Majesty?

And Job answered and said:

How you have helped one without power! How you have saved an arm without strength!

How you have counseled one without wisdom, and made sound wisdom known in abundance!

With whose help have you spoken words? And whose breath came out from you?

The shades writhe beneath the waters and those who dwell in them.

Sheol is naked before him, and Abaddon has no covering.

He stretches out the north over the waste; he hangs the earth on nothing.

He binds up the waters in his clouds, and the cloud is not split beneath them.

He shuts in the face of the throne; he spreads his cloud over it.

He has inscribed a circle on the face of the waters, to the boundary of light with darkness.

The pillars of the heavens tremble, and are astounded at his rebuke.

By his power he stilled the Sea, and by his insight he shattered Rahab.

By his wind the heavens were made fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

Look, these are the fringes of his ways; and what a whisper of a word we hear of him! But the thunder of his mighty deeds — who can understand?
