Isaiah62

Zion’s Salvation and New Name

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes out like brightness and her salvation like a burning torch.

And nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. And you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD will designate.

And you will be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal turban in the palm of your God.

It will no longer be said of you, Forsaken; and of your land it will no longer be said, Desolation. For you will be called My Delight Is In Her, and your land Married — for the LORD delights in you, and your land will be married.

For as a young man marries a virgin, your sons will marry you; and with the rejoicing of a bridegroom over a bride, your God will rejoice over you.

On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all the day and all the night, continually, they will not keep silent. You who bring the LORD to mind, let there be no silence for you,

and give him no silence until he establishes and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by the arm of his strength: I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies, and the sons of the foreigner will not drink your new wine for which you labored.

For those who gather it will eat it and praise the LORD, and those who collect it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

Cross over, cross over through the gates! Clear the way of the people! Build up, build up the highway, clear it of stone! Lift up a signal over the peoples!

See, the LORD has made it heard to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, See, your salvation is coming; see, his wage is with him, and his recompense before him.

And they will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.
