Isaiah35

The Glory of Zion

Wilderness and dry land will be glad for them; and the desert plain will rejoice and blossom like the havatstselet.

It will blossom abundantly and rejoice, indeed with rejoicing and singing. The glory of Lebanon is given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.

Strengthen slack hands, and make firm stumbling knees.

Say to the hasty of heart: Be strong, do not fear! See, your God — vengeance comes, the recompense of God; he himself comes and will save you.

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy — for waters have broken out in the wilderness, and wadis in the desert plain.

And the scorched ground will become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the pasture of jackals, where they lay, will be grass with reed and papyrus.

And there will be a raised road there, and a way; and the Way of Holiness it will be called. No unclean one will pass over it — and it is for them; the one walking the way, even fools, will not go astray.

No lion will be there, and no ravenous beast will go up on it; it will not be found there. And the redeemed will walk.

And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come to Zion with a ringing cry, and everlasting gladness upon their head. Joy and gladness they will overtake, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
