Hosea3

Hosea Redeems His Wife

And the LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by a companion and committing adultery — like the love of the LORD for the sons of Israel, while they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.”

And I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and a homer of barley and a half-homer of barley.

And I said to her, “Many days you will dwell for me; you will not whore, and you will not be for a man — and I also will be toward you.”

For many days the sons of Israel will dwell without a king and without an official, and without a sacrifice and without a standing stone, and without an ephod or teraphim.

Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king; and they will come in dread to the LORD and to his goodness at the end of days.
