Exodus35

The Sabbath

And Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel and said to them, “These are the words that the LORD has commanded, to do them:

Six days work shall be done, but the seventh day shall be holy for you — a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD. Whoever does work on it shall be put to death.

You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.”

Offerings for the Tabernacle

And Moses said to all the congregation of the sons of Israel: “This is the word that the LORD has commanded:

Take from among you an offering for the LORD. Everyone whose heart is willing, let him bring it — the LORD’s offering: gold, and silver, and bronze;

and blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen, and goats’ hair;

and rams’ skins dyed red, and fine leather skins, and acacia wood;

and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

and onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

The Skilled Craftsmen

And let every wise-hearted one among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded:

the Dwelling — its tent and its covering, its clasps and its frames, its crossbars, its pillars and its bases;

the ark and its poles, the atonement cover, and the veil of the screen;

the table and its poles and all its vessels, and the bread of the Presence;

and the lampstand for the light, with its vessels and its lamps, and the oil for the light;

and the altar of incense and its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen of the door for the entrance of the Dwelling;

the altar of burnt offering, with its bronze grating, its poles, and all its vessels; the basin and its stand;

the hangings of the courtyard, its pillars and their bases, and the screen for the gate of the courtyard;

the pegs of the Dwelling and the pegs of the courtyard, and their cords;

the finely worked garments for ministering in the holy place — the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, for serving as priests.”

The People Offer Gifts

And all the congregation of the sons of Israel went out from before Moses.

And they came — every man whose heart lifted him, and everyone whose spirit made him willing — and brought the LORD’s offering, for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.

And the men came along with the women; everyone willing of heart brought brooches and earrings and rings and pendants, every kind of gold article — every man who waved a wave offering of gold to the LORD.

And every man with whom was found blue or purple or scarlet yarn, or fine linen, or goats’ hair, or rams’ skins dyed red, or fine leather skins, brought them.

Everyone who could lift up an offering of silver or bronze brought the LORD’s offering; and everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

And every wise-hearted woman spun with her hands, and they brought what they had spun: the blue, and the purple, the scarlet yarn, and the fine linen.

And all the women whose hearts lifted them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.

And the leaders brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece,

and the spice and the oil — for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.

Every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring anything for all the work that the LORD had commanded through the hand of Moses to be done — the sons of Israel brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD.

Bezalel and Oholiab

And Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See — the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,

and has filled him with the Spirit of God — with wisdom, with insight, and with knowledge, and with every kind of craftsmanship —

to devise designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze,

and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the carving of wood — to work in every kind of skilled craftsmanship.

And he has put it in his heart to teach — he and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do every work of the craftsman, and the skilled weaver, and the embroiderer in blue and in purple, in scarlet yarn and in fine linen, and the weaver — doers of every kind of work, and devisers of designs.”
