And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which faces Jericho; and the LORD showed him all the land — Gilead as far as Dan,
and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,
and the Negev, and the plain — the valley of Jericho, the city of palms — as far as Zoar.
And the LORD said to him, “This is the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘To your seed I will give it.’ I have let you see it with your eyes — but there you shall not cross over.”
And Moses, the servant of the LORD, died there in the land of Moab, at the mouth of the LORD.
And he buried him in the valley, in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; and no man knows his burial place to this day.
And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eye was not dim, and his vigor had not fled.
And the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; and the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses came to an end.
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And there has not risen a prophet again in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face —
for all the signs and the wonders that the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land,
and for all the strong hand, and for all the great terror, that Moses worked before the eyes of all Israel.
