But JonathanSaul'ssondelightedmuchin David:and JonathantoldDavid,saying,Saulmy fatherseekethto killthee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heedto thyself until the morning,and abidein a secretplace, and hidethyself:
And I will go outand standbesidemy fatherin the fieldwhere thou art, and I will communewith my fatherof thee; and whatI see,that I will tellthee.
And Jonathanspakegoodof Davidunto Saulhis father,and saidunto him, Let not the kingsinagainst his servant,against David;because he hath not sinnedagainst thee, and because his workshave been to thee-ward verygood:
For he did puthis lifein his hand,and slewthe Philistine,and the LORDwroughta greatsalvationfor all Israel:thou sawestit, and didst rejoice:wherefore then wilt thou sinagainst innocentblood,to slayDavidwithout a cause?
And Saulhearkenedunto the voiceof Jonathan:and Saulsware,As the LORDliveth,he shall notbe slain.
And JonathancalledDavid,and Jonathanshewedhim all those things.And JonathanbroughtDavidto Saul,and he was in his presence,as in times past.
And there was waragain:and Davidwent out,and foughtwith the Philistines,and slewthem with a greatslaughter;and they fledfromhim.
And the evilspiritfrom the LORDwas upon Saul,as he satin his housewith his javelinin his hand:and Davidplayedwith his hand.
And Saulsoughtto smiteDavideven to the wallwith the javelin;but he slipped awayout of Saul'spresence,and he smotethe javelininto the wall:and Davidfled,and escapedthat night.
Saulalso sentmessengersunto David'shouse,to watchhim, and to slayhim in the morning:and MichalDavid'swifetoldhim, saying,If thou savenot thy lifeto night,to morrowthou shalt be slain.

And Michaltookan image,and laidit in the bed,and puta pillowof goats'hair for his bolster,and coveredit with a cloth.
And when Saulsentmessengersto takeDavid,she said,He is sick.
And Saulsentthe messengersagain to seeDavid,saying,Bring him upto me in the bed,that I may slayhim.
And when the messengerswere come in,behold, there was an imagein the bed,with a pillowof goats'hair for his bolster.
And Saulsaidunto Michal,Why hast thou deceived me so,and sent awaymine enemy,that he is escaped?And MichalansweredSaul,He saidunto me, Let me go;why should I killthee?
So Davidfled,and escaped,and cameto Samuelto Ramah,and toldhim all that Saulhad doneto him. And he and Samuelwentand dweltin Naioth.
And it was toldSaul,saying,Behold, Davidis at Naiothin Ramah.
And Saulsentmessengersto takeDavid:and when they sawthe companyof the prophetsprophesying,and Samuelstandingas appointedover them, the Spiritof Godwas upon the messengersof Saul,and they also prophesied.
And when it was toldSaul,he sentothermessengers,and they prophesiedlikewise. And Saulsentmessengersagainthe thirdtime, and they prophesiedalso.
Then wenthe also to Ramah,and cameto a greatwellthat is in Sechu:and he askedand said,Whereare Samueland David?And one said,Behold, they be at Naiothin Ramah.
And he wentthither to Naiothin Ramah:and the Spiritof Godwas upon him also, and he wenton,and prophesied,until he cameto Naiothin Ramah.
And he stripped offhis clothesalso,and prophesiedbeforeSamuelin like manner, and lay downnakedall that dayand all that night.Wherefore they say,Is Saulalso among the prophets?
