O my people, remembernow what Balakkingof Moabconsulted, and what Balaamthe sonof Beoransweredhim from Shittimto Gilgal;that you may knowthe righteousnessof the LORD.
With what shall I come beforethe LORD,andbowmyself before the highGod?shall I come beforehim with burnt offerings, with calvesof a yearold?
Will the LORDbe pleasedwith thousandsof rams, orwith ten thousandsof riversof oil?shall I givemy firstbornformy transgression, the fruitof my bodyforthe sinof my soul?
He has showedyou, O man, whatisgood;and what does the LORDrequireof you, but to dojustly, and to lovemercy, and to walkhumblywith your God?
