Look the day,look, it has come:the morningis gone forth;the rodhas blossomed,pridehas budded.
Violenceis risen upinto a rodof wickedness:none of themshall remain, nor of their multitude,nor of anyof theirs: neithershall there bewailingfor them.
The time has come, the day draws near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all its multitude.
For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching its whole multitude, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all its multitude.
The swordiswithout,and the pestilenceand the faminewithin:he thatisin the fieldshall diewith the sword;and he thatisin the city,famineand pestilenceshall devourhim.
But they that escapeof them shall escape,and shall be on the mountainslike dovesof the valleys,all of them mourning,every onefor his iniquity.
All handsshall be feeble,and all kneesshall be weakaswater.
They shall also girdthemselveswith sackcloth,and horrorshall coverthem; and shameshall beupon all faces,and baldnessupon all their heads.
They shall casttheir silverin the streets,and their goldshall be removed:their silverand their goldshall not be ableto deliverthem in the dayof the wrathof the LORD:they shall not satisfytheir souls,neither filltheir bowels:because it is the stumblingblockof their iniquity.
As for the beautyof his ornament,he setit in majesty:but they madethe imagesof their abominationsandof their detestable thingstherein: therefore have I setit farfrom them.
And I will giveit into the handsof the strangersfor a prey,and to the wickedof the earthfor plunder;and they shall polluteit.
My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
Makea chain:for the landis fullof bloodycrimes,and the cityis fullof violence.
Therefore I will bringthe worstof the pagans,and they shall possesstheir houses:I will also make the pompof the strongto cease;and their holy placesshall be defiled.
Destructioncomes;and they shall seekpeace,and there shall be none.
Mischiefshall comeupon mischief,and rumorshall be upon rumor;then shall they seeka visionof the prophet;but the lawshall perishfrom the priest,and counselfrom the ancients.
The kingshall mourn,and the princeshall be clothedwith desolation,and the handsof the peopleof the landshall be troubled:I will doto them after their way,and according to their desertswill I judgethem; and they shall knowthat Iamthe LORD.
