Afterward he brought me againto the doorof the house;and indeed, watersissued outfrom under the thresholdof the houseeastward:for the forefrontof the housestood towardthe east, and the waterscame downfrom under from the rightsideof the house,at the southsideof the altar.
Then he brought me outof the wayof the gatenorthward, and led me aboutthe waywithout to the uttergateby the waythat lookseastward;and indeed, there ran outwaterson the rightside.
And when the manthat had the linein his handwent fortheastward,he measureda thousandcubits, and he brought me throughthe waters;the waterswereto the ankles.
Again he measureda thousand, and brought me throughthe waters;the waterswereto the knees.Again he measureda thousand, and brought me through;the waterswereto the loins.
Afterward he measureda thousand;and it wasa riverthat I couldnot pass over:for the waterswere risen, watersto swim in,a riverthat could not be passed over.
And he said to me, Son of man, have you seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
Now when I had returned, look, at the bankof the riverwereverymanytreeson the one side and on the other.
Then he said to me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
And it shall happen, thateverythingthat lives, which moves, wherever the riversshall come, shall live:and there shall be a verygreatmultitude of fish, because these watersshall comethere: for they shall be healed;and everything shall livewhere the rivercomes.
And it shall happen, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even to En-eglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
But its miry places and its marishes shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.
And by its river upon the bank, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for food, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall its fruit be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for medicine.
