Hearye, O mountains,the LORD'Scontroversy,and ye strongfoundationsof the earth:for the LORDhath a controversywith his people,and he will pleadwith Israel.
O my people,what have I doneunto thee? and wherein have I weariedthee? testify
For I brought thee upout of the landof Egypt,and redeemedthee out of the houseof servants;and I sentbeforethee Moses,Aaron,and Miriam.
O my people,remembernow what Balakkingof Moabconsulted,and what Balaamthe sonof Beoransweredhim from Shittimunto Gilgal;that ye may knowthe righteousnessof the LORD.
Wherewith shall I come beforethe LORD,andbowmyself before the highGod?shall I come beforehim with burnt offerings,with calvesof a yearold?
Will the LORDbe pleasedwith thousandsof rams,orwith ten thousandsof riversof oil?shall I givemy firstbornformy transgression,the fruitof my bodyforthe sinof my soul?
He hath shewedthee, O man,whatisgood;and what doth the LORDrequireof thee, but to dojustly,and to lovemercy,and to walkhumblywith thy God?

Are thereyet the treasuresof wickednessin the houseof the wicked,and the scantmeasurethat isabominable?
Shall I countthempurewith the wickedbalances,and with the bagof deceitfulweights?
For the rich menthereof are fullof violence,and the inhabitantsthereof have spokenlies,and their tongueisdeceitfulin their mouth.
Therefore also will I maketheesickin smitingthee, in makingtheedesolatebecause of thy sins.
Thou shalt eat,but not be satisfied;and thy casting downshall bein the midstof thee; and thou shalt take hold,but shalt not deliver;andthatwhich thou deliverestwill I give upto the sword.
Thou shalt sow,but thou shalt not reap;thou shalt treadthe olives,but thou shalt not anointthee with oil;and sweet wine,but shalt not drinkwine.
