Thus speakeththe LORDGodof Israel,saying,Writethee all the wordsthat I have spokenunto thee in a book.
For, lo, the dayscome,saiththe LORD,that I will bring againthe captivityof my peopleIsraeland Judah,saiththe LORD:and I will cause them to returnto the landthat I gaveto their fathers,and they shall possess
And thesearethe wordsthat the LORDspakeconcerning Israeland concerning Judah.
For thus saiththe LORD;We have hearda voiceof trembling,of fear,and not of peace.
Askye now, and seewhether a mandoth travail with child?wherefore do I seeevery manwith his handson his loins,as a woman in travail,and all facesare turnedinto paleness?
Alas!for that dayisgreat,so thatnoneislike it: itiseven the timeof Jacob'strouble;but he shall be saved
For it shall come to pass in that day,saiththe LORDof hosts,thatI will breakhis yokefrom off thy neck,and will burstthy bonds,and strangersshall no more serve
But they shall servethe LORDtheir God,and Davidtheir king,whom I will raise up
Therefore fearthou not, O my servantJacob,saiththe LORD;neither be dismayed,O Israel:for, lo, I will savethee from afar,and thy seedfrom the landof their captivity;and Jacobshall return,and shall be in rest,and be quiet,and none shall makehimafraid.
For Iamwith thee, saiththe LORD,to savethee: though I makea full endof all nationswhither I have scatteredthee, yet will I not makea full endof thee: but I will correctthee in measure,and will not leave thee altogetherunpunished.
For thus saiththe LORD,Thy bruiseisincurable,andthy woundisgrievous.
There isnone to pleadthy cause,that thou mayest be bound up:thou hast no healingmedicines.
All thy lovershave forgottenthee; they seekthee not; for I have woundedthee with the woundof an enemy,with the chastisementof a cruel one,for the multitudeof thine iniquity;becausethy sinswere increased.
Why criestthou for thine affliction?thy sorrowisincurablefor the multitudeof thine iniquity:becausethy sinswere increased,I have done
Therefore all they that devourthee shall be devoured;and all thine adversaries,every one of them, shall gointo captivity;and they that spoilthee shall be a spoil,and all that preyupon thee will I givefor a prey.
For I will restorehealthunto thee, and I will healthee of thy wounds,saiththe LORD;because they calledthee an Outcast,saying, ThisisZion,whom no man seeketh after.
Thus saiththe LORD;Behold, I will bring againthe captivityof Jacob'stents,and have mercyon his dwellingplaces;and the cityshall be buildedupon her own heap,and the palaceshall remainafter the manner
And out of them shall proceedthanksgivingand the voiceof them that make merry:and I will multiplythem, and they shall not be few;I will also glorifythem, and they shall not be small.
Their childrenalso shall be as aforetime,and their congregationshall be establishedbeforeme, and I will punishall that oppress
And their noblesshall be of themselves, and their governorshall proceedfrom the midstof them; and I will cause him to draw near,and he shall approachunto me: for whoisthis that engagedhis heartto approachunto me? saiththe LORD.
And ye shall be my people,and I will be your God.
Behold, the whirlwindof the LORDgoeth forthwith fury,a continuingwhirlwind:it shall fall with painupon the headof the wicked.
The fierceangerof the LORDshall not return,until he have doneit, and until he have performedthe intentsof his heart:in the latterdaysye shall consider
