Afterward he brought me againunto the doorof the house;and, behold, watersissued outfrom under the thresholdof the houseeastward:for the forefrontof the housestood towardthe east,and the waterscame downfrom under from the rightsideof the house,at the southsideof the altar.
Then brought he me outof the wayof the gatenorthward,and led me aboutthe waywithout unto the uttergateby the waythat looketheastward;and, behold, there ran outwaterson the rightside.
And when the manthat had the linein his handwent fortheastward,he measureda thousandcubits,and he brought me throughthe waters;the waterswereto the ankles.
Again he measureda thousand,and brought me throughthe waters;the waterswereto the knees.Again he measureda thousand,and brought me through;the waterswereto the loins.
Afterward he measureda thousand;and it wasa riverthat I couldnot pass over:for the waterswere risen,watersto swim in,a riverthat could not be passed over.
And he saidunto me, Sonof man,hast thou seenthis? Then he broughtme, and caused me to returnto the brinkof the river.
Now when I had returned,behold, at the bankof the riverwereverymanytrees
Then saidhe unto me, These watersissue outtoward the eastcountry,and go downinto the desert,and gointo the sea:which beingbrought forthinto the sea,the watersshall be healed.
And it shall come to pass,thatevery thingthat liveth,which moveth,whithersoever the riversshall come,shall live:and there shall be a verygreatmultitude of fish,because these watersshall comethither: for they shall be healed;and every thing shall livewhither the rivercometh.
And it shall come to pass,thatthe fishersshall standupon it from Engedieven unto Eneglaim;they shall be aplaceto spread forthnets;their fishshall be according to their kinds,as the fishof the greatsea,exceedingmany.
But the miry placesthereof and the marishesthereof shall not be healed;they shall be givento salt.
And by the riverupon the bankthereof, on this side and on that side, shall growall treesfor meat,whose leafshall not fade,neither shall the fruitthereof be consumed:it shall bring forth new fruitaccording to his months,because their watersthey issued outof the sanctuary:and the fruitthereof shall be for meat,and the leafthereof for medicine.
Thus saiththe LordGOD;Thisshall bethe border,whereby ye shall inheritthe landaccording to the twelvetribesof Israel:Josephshall have twoportions.
And ye shall inheritit, oneas well as another:concerningthe which I lifted upmine handto giveit unto your fathers:and this landshall fallunto you for inheritance.
And thisshall bethe borderof the landtoward the northside,from the greatsea,the wayof Hethlon,as men goto Zedad;
Hamath,Berothah,Sibraim,whichisbetween the borderof Damascusand the borderof Hamath;Hazarhatticon,whichisby the coastof Hauran.
And the borderfrom the seashall be Hazarenan,the borderof Damascus,and the northnorthward,and the borderof Hamath.Andthis isthe northside.
And the eastsideye shall measurefromHauran,and fromDamascus,and fromGilead,and fromthe landof IsraelbyJordan,from the borderunto the eastsea.Andthis isthe eastside.
And the southsidesouthward,from Tamarevento the watersof strifeinKadesh,the riverto the greatsea.Andthis isthe southsidesouthward.
The westsidealsoshall bethe greatseafrom the border,till a man comeover againstHamath.Thisisthe westside.
So shall ye dividethis landunto you according to the tribesof Israel.
And it shall come to pass,thatye shall divideit by lot for an inheritanceunto you, and to the strangersthat sojournamongyou, which shall begetchildrenamongyou: and they shall be unto you as bornin the countryamong the childrenof Israel;they shall haveinheritancewith you amongthe tribesof Israel.
And it shall come to pass,thatin what tribethe strangersojourneth,there shall ye givehimhis inheritance,saiththe LordGOD.
