The menof Arvadwith thine armywereupon thy wallsround about,and the Gammadimswere in thy towers:they hangedtheir shieldsupon thy wallsround about;they have madethy beautyperfect.
Tarshishwasthy merchantby reason of the multitudeof allkind ofriches;with silver,iron,tin,and lead,they tradedin thy fairs.
Syriawasthy merchantby reason of the multitudeof the wares of thy making:they occupiedin thy fairswith emeralds,purple,and broidered work,and fine linen,and coral,and agate.
Thesewerethy merchantsin all sortsof things, in blueclothes,and broidered work,and in chestsof rich apparel,boundwith cords,and made of cedar,among thy merchandise.
The shipsof Tarshishdid singof thee in thy market:and thou wast replenished,and made verygloriousin the midstof the seas.
Thy rowershave broughtthee into greatwaters:the eastwindhath brokenthee in the midstof the seas.
Thy riches,and thy fairs,thy merchandise,thy mariners,and thy pilots,thy calkers,and the occupiersof thy merchandise,and all thy menof war,thatarein thee, and in all thy companywhichisin the midstof thee, shall fallinto the midstof the seasin the dayof thy ruin.

And all that handlethe oar,the mariners,andall the pilotsof the sea,shall come downfrom their ships,they shall standupon the land;
And shall cause their voiceto be heardagainst thee, and shall crybitterly,and shall cast updustupon their heads,they shall wallowthemselves in the ashes:
And they shall make themselves utterlybaldfor thee, and girdthem with sackcloth,and they shall weepfor thee with bitternessof heartandbitterwailing.
And in their wailingthey shall take upa lamentationfor thee, and lamentover thee,saying, Whatcity islike Tyrus,like the destroyedin the midstof the sea?
When thy wareswent forthout of the seas,thou filledstmanypeople;thou didst enrichthe kingsof the earthwith the multitudeof thy richesand of thy merchandise.
In the timewhenthou shalt be brokenby the seasin the depthsof the watersthy merchandiseand all thy companyin the midstof thee shall fall.
All the inhabitantsof the islesshall be astonishedat thee, and their kingsshall be soreafraid,they shall be troubledintheircountenance.
The merchantsamong the peopleshall hissat thee; thou shalt be a terror,and nevershalt beany more.
